Our Fire Safety short film ‘Stop, Think, Be Safe & Be Sure’ was launched at the the ‘Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service‘ BME Conference on 15th from October to a well received audience from across the Greater Manchester BME communities. The film will now be rolled out to communities across the North West of England and further a field to help save lives through workshops and home visits and is available in a number of languages.
The fire safety short film has been written and produced by us at Glass Eye Productions, aimed specifically at a South Asian audience and tells the story of an ordinary family who make a number of errors which lead to their demise toportray a strong message.
We were given the brief to produce a short film on a limited budget which would communicate the message of Fire Safety to the Asian community in the UK which including their choice of flammable clothing used which may easily catch for and the use of hot oils for cooking. We replied to the brief by developing a short film using south asian actors and a small talented crew to produce a short film which is now used to educate all communities by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and has been nominated for a prestigious Safety Telly Award.
